Psycho 1960: Film Review

Psycho is a American horror-slasher film which was produced in 1960. The movie is directed by Alfred Hitchcock and the cast included Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin and Martin Balsam. The film was actually based on the 1956 novel (same name) by Robert Bloch. I actually went to the Psycho set at Universal Studios when I was in Los Angeles last year but I hadn't seen the movie then so I wasn't completely sure of the film. The set in person was actually similar to the film, the house was situated on a higher level to everything else and the motel rooms looked the same from the exterior.
I love Psycho, I just really enjoyed the movie and the whole plot line. I thought the actors worked really well in the film and all played their roles really well. I was completely blown away at the end of the film when the young boy managing the motel, was actually playing his mother as well and was killing everybody. I genuinely thought his mother was the killer and he just had a mould of her when he carried her out of the room to the basement. It worked really well in the movie and just gave it that extra good ending.
