I went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens yesterday at the Vue Cinema. I really enjoyed the film, although to be honest I'm not actually a huge fan of the movies, I really liked this one. Disappointedly the cinema was really small, the cinema only consisted of about five rows of seats and we sat around the front. This wasn't good for a film like this because the around sound system was so intense and it was actually uncomfortable to sit and watch. The sound team working on the film said "For the team working on the sounds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the goal was to deliver a film that would be both ground-breaking and an instant classic at the same time. The film was really sophisticatedly filmed, using practical effects and creatures, this was usually enhanced with CG imagery and for example the Millennium Falcon chase which was on the Jakku, shots were entirely digital with no use of photography.
